Cedar Creek Energy, a leader in commercial and residential solar installations, is looking for a talented Journeyman Electrician. If hired, you will be working with our other experienced solar technicians and will learn from them. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, and perform the necessary job tasks required to assure safe and successful operations of residential and commercial solar power installations. A company van will be provided for your use.

We aren’t looking for just any journeyman electrician. To work at Cedar Creek Energy, you must be responsible, honest, and have the ability to work independently. You will be the face of the company to our clients and must be clean, neat, and articulate in your dealings with your colleagues, and with our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties for a Journeyman Electrician

  • Ability to install solar panel systems on residential and commercial projects
  • Install electrical systems that interconnect client’s solar array to the power grid
  • Able to work independently or on a team
  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
  • Ability to diagnose and creatively solve problems

Journeyman Electrician Qualifications and Skills

  • You must have a current Electrician’s License
  • 3 years of experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in all types of weather, be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops
  • You must be comfortable handling power tools like drills, band saws, and other tools of the trade
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Valid MN driver’s license with a clean DMV Record
  • Experience in the solar industry is nice, but not required
